'The Bachelor' Finale: Daisy Concedes After Realizing Joey Loves Kelsey

Daisy marked a franchise first when she went to speak to Kelsey before taking herself out of the running.

Daisy Kent realized she wasn't going to end up with Joey Graziadei.

On Monday's season finale of The Bachelor, the account executive marked a franchise first when she decided to pay Kelsey Anderson a visit after deducing that the other woman would be Joey's pick.

Before the breakup, Joey said he had "zero doubts that a life with Daisy would be special." Then, he took her to meet his family. The Graziadeis took an instant liking to Daisy, who told them that she was "so sure" that Joey was the one for her.

However, fears that she wouldn't be Joey's choice continued to fester. When the duo had their last date, Daisy told the cameras that she wanted Joey to reassure her, and she broke down because she felt Joey wasn't "sure of" her. That seemed to be proven true when, during a spiritual ceremony, Joey said he wanted the best for each of them, whether or not that meant they'd be together.

Even so, Daisy pushed through during the nighttime portion of the date and told Joey she loved him. While Joey said that Daisy's reveal "means so much," she told the cameras that she was "terrified" over the lack of validation she received after her confession.

After she told Joey goodbye, in a confessional, Daisy said, "If I'm being 100 percent honest, I don't think it's me."

"I felt like he was trying to prepare me for today," Daisy said of her last conversations with Joey. "He was like, 'I've been in this position and I've been completely blindsided.' And so when he said that, I was like, 'Oh, not me.' Maybe I'm wrong, but today I have to be so strong, even though I want to crumble."

With that, Daisy knocked on Kelsey's door. Daisy started by asking Kelsey about her week. After hearing about that and how Kelsey felt validated by Joey, Daisy told her that on her own date "there was no form of validation."

"I really think it's Kelsey," Daisy told the cameras, "but I'm not just going to walk away right now because what if it's not?"

The women shocked viewers when they rode in the same car to the final rose ceremony. Daisy proceeded to walk down to the meet Joey alone.

She greeted him with a hug and Joey went on to speak about their strong connection. Daisy took over then, telling Joey, "I know you came into my life for a reason."

"Falling in love with you has been so fun, and I do love you, but the thing is, you're not going to choose me," she said. "The last couple of days, I realized that you're not my person... As much as that hurts, I know you said you want what's best for me, so I'm going to do what's best for me and go."

Joey broke down in tears, telling her, "You don't know how special you truly are... You deserve nothing but the best, and I really wish I could give it to you."

With that, Daisy walked herself out, leaving Joey in tears. She made her way back to the car and gave Kelsey a hug, telling her of her late mom, "I know your mom's going to be looking down on this moment. She's going to be so happy."

When Joey joined host Jesse Palmer for the live portion of the show, he admitted that he wondered how she knew it wasn't going to be her.

Daisy soon came out on the stage. She first expressed her congratulations for Joey and Kelsey, before explaining that she knew it probably wasn't going to be her when she saw Joey and Kelsey smile at each other after the penultimate rose ceremony. Her intuition, Daisy said, was once again sparked during her final date with Joey.

Joey responded by expressing his thanks to Daisy for how she handled the situation.

"I wish you nothing but the best and I can't wait to see what Daisy does in the future," Joey said, before she noted, "I can't wait to see what you do also. I can't wait to see you and Kelsey grow. From the deepest part of my heart, I'm so happy for you."
